On August
24, 2007 Wisma Bahasa held a party, Malam Indonesia (Indonesian Night).
The participants were students, teachers and staff.
This event was held to celebrate Wisma Bahasa's 25th
anniversary. This was the main event of Wisma Bahasa's 25th
anniversary.
Actually this event is held to celebrate Indonesia Independence Day and to introduce and learn about Indonesian cultures. This year, this event was not only to celebrate Indonesia Independence Day and to introduce and learn about Indonesian cultures but also Wisma Bahasa's 25th
anniversary. So, the setting was different from previous years. The committe (teachers) provided 6 anjungan (stages). Those are Sumatra, Kalimantan, Papua, Bali and Nusa Tenggara, Jawa, and Sulawesi Stage. Each stage performed their own diversity.
Besides, this event provided traditional foods and beverages, traditional dances, folk songs, fashion show, live musics, and spontaneity.
Most teachers, staff, and students wore Indonesian traditiomnal costumes. Some of them wore batik. |
